Welcome to the world of your E-motions. Energy-In-Motion 

Most of us are unaware just how disconnected we are from our e-motions. Take a moment to ask yourself, ‘when was the last time I spoke from my heart, instead of using my thinking mind?’


Think about how your e-motions were dealt with as a child.  Many of us were not encouraged to express our e-motions and discovered that keeping them hidden was the safest way to get along within our family.  We may have unconsciously stuffed our

e-motions as a daily practice. 


  • Always keep the peace.
  • Don’t rock the boat.
  • It’s not right to ask for more.
  • My opinion doesn’t matter.
  • Adults are always right.


With learned behaviors such as these, it’s no wonder that as adults, we find ourselves completely disconnected from our e-motions and unable to get beyond these engrained limiting beliefs.  Why would we consider any other way?  We’ve proven that those strategies worked in our childhood.  They must still be valid, right?


Wrong, if you want to move beyond feeling stuck in your current situation. 


Let’s begin with allowing yourself to feel your e-motions. 


Would you feel empowered if you could…


  • Speak honestly from your heart?
  • Not worry about anyone’s judgement?
  • Look at yourself in the mirror and smile with acceptance?
  • Make as much money as you want?
  • Ask anyone a question?
  • Lose weight?
  • Stop smoking?
  • Drink less alcohol?


The feeling of empowerment after achieving any one of these desires, is well within our reach, but we can’t focus on the future when we’re living in the past.


We have 80,000 thoughts per day and most are the same thoughts we had yesterday and the day before that, and the day before that.  These thoughts are synonymous with the limiting beliefs that we learned in our childhood.  They reside in our subconscious with only one purpose: to keep us safe. 


This is why making changes as adults can be so difficult without the necessary tools.

It’s impossible to feel an e-motion without having a physical reaction and vice versa, it’s impossible to have a physical reaction without having an e-motion.  The mind body connection is a locked system. 


Each time we try to make a change, our subconscious (or inner child) comes up with all kinds of excuses as to why it’s not safe to change:


  • This isn’t a good time, you better wait until next month.
  • Remember what happened last time you tried this; it was a total failure. Don’t do it.
  • If you make this change, your friends won’t accept you.
  • You can’t afford it.
  • It’s not worth the risk.

 

Sound familiar?


Since we can literally only focus on one thought at a time, we need to clear the old thought patterns of the past to make room for creating new patterns for the future. 


We are all made up of energy called Chi, which flows through our bodies like water through a garden hose, until we get triggered by a negative thought from our past. The fight or flight sensation takes over and Boom! Our bodies are flooded with cortisol, the stress hormone. The blood drains from our brain’s frontal lobe into our extremities to ensure that we will be able to run away or stand and fight. This natural fight or flight reaction creates a kink in the hose stopping the flow of Chi energy. Our e-motions are now stuck.


Holistically, repressed e-motions create physical and e-motional imbalances, and may result in serious illness or disease over time. 


EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Tapping detoxes our e-motions and allows our body to clear the old thoughts and feelings that are keeping us stuck and making us sick.  We’re often not connected to our feelings but instead in our thinking mind focused on dealing with the situation.   


  • Feelings = E-motions 
  • E-motions not dealt with = Toxins 
  • Toxins not dealt with = Illness and Disease


Using EFT Tapping to process these toxic e-motions opens the energy channels, creating a freer flow of energy through the body. This provides an optimal environment for the body to maintain vibrant physical and e-motional health.

It’s commonly stated that ‘EFT Tapping works on everything’.  True.  EFT releases the kink in the garden hose and restores a peaceful flow of Chi energy throughout the body. My clients often remark on ‘how much lighter’ they feel after a Tapping session.  The feeling of lightness is a direct result of how EFT works to release stuck energy from years past.
